Illustration blends the creative freedom of drawing and painting with the communication power of graphic design. Together, we’ll practice core drawing fundamentals, create dynamic compositions, and analyze how illustrators use line, color, contrast, and shape to give mood and meaning to their work.

This is a flexible drawing class where students can use their favorite tools. You can finish your drawings with watercolor, gouache, colored pencils, pastels, markers, or even Procreate on the iPad. We’ll illustrate everything from characters and creatures to detailed environments, buildings, and vehicles.
