Learn to use pastels while learning drawing techniques and approaches. We will work with both soft and Nu Pastels plus pastel pencils, to create a variety of pieces. This class will use a variety of color-toned paper to work as a foundation when using pastels. Composition and color theory will be discussed and demonstrated. Pastels act much like oil paint, in that they can be layered, and we will discuss best practices for layering while drawing.
