Welcome, makers! In this beginning-to-intermediate class, you’ll dive deep into the foundations of working with clay. Little or no experience is needed. Multiple hands-on demonstrations cover wheel throwing (centering, pulling, and vessel formation) and hand-building (pinch, coil, and slab construction). After each demo, you’ll work freely on your own projects with instructor support. Surface techniques, function, design, and expression are woven into lessons. Many students love taking this class a few times before moving up, since practice and repetition in an instructor-led setting are powerful tools for progress.
