Executive Director

Hana Janatova is an active community arts leader, administrator, advocate, and community builder. In 2006, She founded the Mundi Project, a 501c (3) music education nonprofit organization to bring open access to pianos, music education, and the arts.  

Holding piano performance degrees from the University of Arizona (1993) and a Master of Music from the University of Utah (2011), Hana is a strong supporter and advocate of the arts, and believes that education in music and the fine arts should be inclusive within a community. 

Hana served as Executive Director of the Mundi Project from 2006-2018. She specifically focused on developing open access education outreach programs for low-income populations with an urban planning focus. She continues to strengthen and develop old and new partnerships with other nonprofit entities in the Utah arts and culture community. 

In 2011, Hana received a Yamaha Fellowship from the College Music Society for her work with Mundi Project’s Ambassador mentorship program. Upon completion of graduate school, Hana received a Leadership Management Certification from the University of Utah Nonprofit Academy of Excellence (2012) and in 2018 certified as a Change Leader through the Utah Division of Arts and Museums. When away from her professional pursuits, Hana enjoys cooking, gardening, and exploring the wilderness and the world.
