Scotti H.

Scotti was a student at the Visual Art Institute from age 4 to 17. She started during the tenure of VAI’s founder, Stephanie Burn. Scotti earned Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Art History from the University of Utah. She received her Juris Doctorate from the S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2018. When asked about her time at VAI, Scotti said:

“I think having a validation for children that thought and learned the way that I did was so powerful, because I drew before I learned to write and read. To have somewhere where I could do that, and where that was really rewarded... I was able to let that blossom.”

Scotti taught art history courses at Westminster College and the U of U from 2011-2015. She serves as a regular contributor to The Deseret News and 15 Bytes: Utah’s Art Magazine. She has curated exhibitions for Granary Arts, the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, the Topaz Museum, Modern West Fine Art, and the Rio Gallery. She is also on the Board of Directors for VAI and committed to the continued success of the organization that gave her so much. Scotti lives in Salt Lake City and works as Associate General Counsel for the Utah State Bar.
