Adriana Vawdrey
Instructor
Adriana (“Addie”) has been working as an illustrator and designer since 2012. She loves visual storytelling and is often hired to make narrative artwork about interesting people, places, experiences, and relationships.
After studying at Visual Art Institute during her teen years, Addie attended and graduated from Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. She has designed ads and editorial illustrations for international companies and publications, and she especially enjoys making art to celebrate arts education, child development, and family and community life. From 2022-2025, she served as the lead graphic designer at Visual Art Institute.
When she’s not working, Addie loves to travel with her husband, go to museums with their kids, and go for walks and hikes outside. She also enjoys making art with her children and covering their house in large designs they work on together. Before moving, their first little “art house” was featured on Apartment Therapy in 2022.
You can read more about Addie’s experience as a VAI student on our Alumni Stories page.
