VAI relies on volunteer help to create and maintain our dynamic learning experience. Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to, the tasks listed below. We also welcome your ideas, skills and expertise. Contact us to set up times to volunteer.

Preparation for Art Shows

  • Measuring & cutting mattes
  • Framing
  • Cleaning glass
  • Making labels
  • Transporting artwork to exhibtion venues
  • Hanging artwork

Building Maintenance and Cleaning

  • Cleaning sink areas
  • Emptying trash cans weekly
  • Sweeping & mopping weekly
  • Deep cleaning classrooms before and after semesters
  • Organizing the supply room

Assisting in Office Work

  • Organizing the library (shelving books)
  • Administrative projects as needed

Festivals & Community Outreach

  • Barnes & Noble book fairs
  • The Utah Arts Festival
  • Fundraisers
  • Other miscellaneous booths, fairs & children's art activities
  • We will need assistance with preparation as well as setting up, taking down and running the necessary booths.

All of these duties listed above can be taught to anyone who is willing to learn.
